Dargo 7.2
Tiny modern house
At 7.2m x 2.5m the Dargo 7 had a clear vision in mind—to create a harmonious blend of practical living space and efficient storage capacity. Emphasising the importance of permanent accommodation, the architect carefully crafted a design that would offer both optimal storage space and a comfortable, functional living environment.
This innovative design incorporates several thoughtful features to achieve its goals. Strategically positioned louvre banks, a servery window, and an optional porthole feature work together to create a bright and open atmosphere within the space. These elements contribute to a sense of spaciousness and ensure a pleasant living experience.
If you prefer a stationary setup instead of wheels, we can accommodate your preferred installation method by providing any Southon design on a "skid" platform.

Mitchell 8.5
Melbourne tiny houses
Spacious, accessible single level living available in two thoughtful layouts.
As with the Dargo 7.2 and more compact models, the Mitchell includes our end bathroom with innovative shower pop-out over the drawbar. This adds an extra 1m2 and enables a spacious feeling bathroom with a very compact footprint. An openable skylight over the shower adds to the sense of spaciousness and provides excellent ventilation.
Designed with the short-term accommodation market in mind, the Southon 8 provides dedicated spaces for sleeping, bathing, and dining/living.
Whether you intend to utilise it as a vacation rental or for other purposes, this model is thoughtfully tailored to meet your specific requirements.

Buchan 9.5
Double loft tiny home
A longer single level design with mid bathroom and galley kitchen creates zoned living spaces whilst remaining an open layout.
Innovations like the shallow, “hidden” pantry built in next to the shower and hide-away workstation allow the space to transform according to current activity. A separately enclosed toilet adds utility when the space is inhabited by more than one person, although an “all in one” bathroom / laundry is also available.
End pop-outs and optional exposed ceiling beams add character and cosiness to interior and exterior.
A pop-up TV can be added to increase the multi-functionality of the living area.
This render depicts optional off-grid setup with roof-top solar panels and an extra-large deck.

Buchan 10.5
Large one level tiny home
An even more generous version of the comfy Buchan 9.5.
This design evolved from a custom design for a client who desired a no-compromise, fully off-grid retirement home in the Victorian High Country.
A metre is added to the living area and includes a wood burning heater.
The pictured version has a skillion roof, although either skillion or gable is available for all Buchan models.
Supply of custom decks and deck roofs depends on location, and they are designed and priced on request.
A smart layout, with the sleeping quarters separated from the living areas by centrally located kitchen and bathroom areas. Privacy is assured with a cavity sliding door.
Large windows and doors let in plenty of light and give a spatial feel to this tiny home.
